The transformation of an old office building into a modern school
Outokumpu's former headquarters was redeveloped into a healthy and safe school building. The blueprints of the old office building brought both opportunities and challenges to the design process.
The goal was to bring light and color in the premises in addition to functionality, and all were accomplished beautifully. The design took into account the different needs of the pupils, with particular emphasis on indoor air quality.
The end result is a fresh school building featuring luminous, high middle lobby and lunch areas, as well as diverse classroom and group facilities.
