Hanna Gullsten and Jari Inkinen founded Gullsten-Inkinen in 1988. Their collaboration started during their studies at University of Art and Design in Helsinki that not only led them to establish GI but also a family of three daughters.
Hanna Gullstén (born 1965) has been working on versatile design projects in Finland and abroad. In the beginning of her career, Hanna decorated cruise ships, restaurants and department stores. Hanna has led distinguished projects such as Finland EU chairmanship conference spaces in 2007 and Radisson Blu hotels both in Espoo and Tampere. Her relentless passion and attention to detail have awarded her international recognition on her projects such as Sokos Hotel Villa.
Jari Inkinen (born 1965) is the managing director of GI. He is a great enthusiast of Sibelius, the Northern nature and solution driven architecture and design. Jari has an active role on projects and responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of Gullsten-Inkinen. He is passionate about giving life to existing buildings – ‘reinstating something existing, finding a new function and looking a bit further over the lines/limits’. “Alongside, design work, Jari has lectured in universities, numerous seminars and chaired foundations.
