Valmet 2025 - Vantaa - 13500 m2

Valmet's new campus in Tikkurila brought the staff together under one roof

Valmet’s new Tikkurila campus was completed in spring 2025. Valmet Oyj is a long-time client of ours. Among other projects, we were responsible for the design of Valmet’s headquarters in Keilaniemi, Espoo, in 2014.

We were responsible for the interior architecture design of the Tikkurila campus as well as a comprehensive workplace development project. In addition, we assisted the client in defining the quality standards related to the construction of the premises during the lease negotiation phase. Furthermore, we oversaw the quality standards during the construction phase.

The Tikkurila campus features four versatile working floors, each centered around well-placed floor café areas. The working floors follow the multi-space office model. Carefully positioned support spaces are a central part of the office design, as they enable both quiet, focused work and moments of active collaboration. The visual identity of the campus reflects Valmet’s brand. Interior design of the campus is in line with the timeless Valmet working environments we’ve previously designed.

Employees from multiple locations relocated under one roof to the Tikkurila campus. Alongside interior design, we carried out an extensive workplace development project to support staff in adapting to the change. Workplace development began already in 2021, when a comprehensive workplace survey was conducted among Valmet employees. Following this, workshops were held including space planning and “Space Proto” sessions, where users could ideate the use of the space. Continuous coaching, active involvement, and open communication throughout the project helped users to become inspired by the change.
